In the mid '60's, the legal community in Texas recognized a critical need for an organization dedicated to advancing the justice system for all. The result was the Texas Bar Foundation, a philanthropic organization distinguished by both legal excellence and a fundamental mission to serve.
The Texas Bar Foundation has helped fund some of the most successful Law-Related Eduaction projects. Here are some examples:
- All Rise
- Pipeline
- Teachers Law School
- Play By the Rules…Texas Laws for Youth
Play by the Rules: Texas Laws for Youth is a student manual, which teaches Texas seventh graders the laws to which our state holds them accountable. Its user-friendly, question-and-answer format includes a teacher’s manual containing lesson plans and interactive teaching strategies designed to increase knowledge and understanding of the law as well as a commitment to civic responsibility. This innovative program is based on a 72-page question-and-answer, illustrated student book and teacher guide that address more than 200 laws.
