NEW COMPETITION DATE: DECEMBER 15, 2007
Teachers at the high school level are encouraged to participate in the nationwide competitive program. Congressional district winners go on to compete at a statewide hearing, and state champions travel to Washington, D.C., in the spring to represent their state in the We the People national finals.
Next year's state competition is set for December 15, 2007 in Austin. The deadline for registering a team for the state competition is November 1, 2007.
